About

Rules Desk

Rules Desk makes tools that hold traders to their own rules. It's built and run by Ruben — @senatorhodl on X — who trades MNQ futures full time on prop firm accounts from Ponce, Puerto Rico.

What it does

You write down how you intend to trade. Before a trade, you describe what you're about to do and the desk tells you whether your own rules allow it. Afterwards you log what happened. Once a week it reads your record back and tells you what your numbers do and do not prove.

That is the whole idea. Nothing here has an opinion about the market.

Why it works that way

Most people who lose money trading are not missing a setup. They are taking trades their own rules forbid, sizing off feeling, and drawing conclusions from eleven trades. None of that is fixed by a better prediction — and anything claiming to predict for you makes it worse. It is fixed by a written record, and by something that checks you every single time without getting bored.

What it isn't

No signals, no trade alerts, no copy-trading, no market calls, no prop firm recommendations, and no promises about money. There is no market data anywhere in it. Every order is yours, placed by you, on your own platform. Nothing here is investment advice, and it is not therapy or counselling — if what is going on is bigger than a broken trading rule, it will say so and point you somewhere real.

The name on the byline

The @senatorhodl handle is left over from crypto, when I learned the expensive way what holding with no plan and no exit really costs. Futures taught me the opposite: a written process, a fixed stop, a checklist that decides whether I am even allowed to trade, and circuit breakers that stop me before the account does. Rules Desk is that process, built as software.

Say hi

I post the process on X as @senatorhodl, including the losing days. The calculators on this site are free and need no signup.

Rules Desk — by Senator HODL. Educational content only. Not investment advice. Futures trading involves substantial risk of loss, and most people who attempt it lose money.
