Short answers. If yours isn’t here, the Contact page reaches a person.

Rules Desk

What is it?

Free tools that work out what your firm’s rules mean on your numbers, including the free Desk. Alongside them: a $39 trade journal, the $79 Rules Desk Course (four lessons free to read), and a paid Desk in build. Not a strategy, a signal service or a community.

Will it tell me what to trade?

No. There is no market data in it and no signals, alerts or trade calls.

Do I connect my broker or prop firm account?

No, and you can’t. Nothing here can place, size or close an order.

Will it get me funded?

We don’t claim that. Many people who attempt futures trading lose money. What the tools do is show you how your firm’s rules play out on your numbers before you pay.

The free tools and course

What’s the catch?

None. All the free tools, including the Desk and the payout-day check, work with no signup and no email. They run in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere. We hope you like them enough to want the journal.

Is the course free?

Lessons 1–3 and Lesson 7 are free to read, no signup. The full Rules Desk Course (ten lessons, the course book, the Journal and the Workbook) is $79, with a 7-day refund.

A calculator gave me a number I think is wrong.

Tell us, with your inputs. We would rather fix arithmetic than defend it.

The Journal & Workbook, $39

What is the Journal & Workbook?

A 500-row trade log (Excel or Google Sheets) that shows your likely win-rate range, break-even win rate, average result per trade, results by setup and what rule breaks cost you, plus an 18-page printable workbook. Instant download, no subscription. See what’s in it.

Do I need Excel?

No. It opens in Google Sheets.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. The Journal & Workbook and the Rules Desk Course both have a 7-day full refund: email us within 7 days of purchase. If a file doesn’t arrive or won’t open, we send a working file first. See the Refund Policy.

The paid Desk

Can I buy it yet?

Not yet. The free Desk works today. For the paid version, join the waitlist on the Desk page. No price until it’s real.

Does it work with my firm?

It isn’t tied to any firm. You enter your firm’s rules. Always follow your firm’s current published rules.

Will the free tools ever refuse to answer?

The free tools check a trade against the rules you wrote. If a trade breaks them, they say so. They don’t read your mood, your money situation or anything personal, and they never stop you for reasons about your wellbeing. If the paid Desk ever adds a stop of its own, its use agreement will say so before you use it. Details in the Terms of Service, section 5.

Is a person reading what I type?

No. Nothing you enter reaches a human. If something urgent is going on, in the United States call or text 988.

Independence

Do you take affiliate commissions?

No. Not from any prop firm, broker, platform or data provider. If that ever changed, it would be disclosed before the link.

How do I know the math is right?

Each tool listed on How we check the math is checked against a second, separate calculation written from the rule itself, and a test browser compares the two on the real page. The checks run again every time a tool changes. If a number looks wrong, send us your inputs.

Are you licensed to give advice?

No, and we don’t give it. Rules Desk is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or commodity trading advisor. See the Risk Disclosure.

Who’s behind it?

Ruben Roman, a futures trader who trades prop firm accounts. Rules Desk is a sole proprietorship he operates. More on the About page.
