Funded Futures Family Velocity rules, worked through on your numbers
The Velocity plan's own rules for the evaluation, the funded account and payouts, quoted from Funded Futures Family's help center with the date we read them, and three calculators already set to Velocity's numbers.
The short answer: Velocity uses a 40% consistency rule for the life of the account, an intraday trailing drawdown that counts open profit, and no daily loss limit. To ask for a payout you need at least 3 trading days, the plan's profit since your last payout ($1,500 on $25K, $3,000 on $50K), and your largest day at or under 40% of that profit. Example numbers: a $1,500 largest day needs $3,750 of profit, more than the $3,000 a $50K needs anyway.

Velocity: the numbers
| Account | Profit target | Drawdown (intraday) | Max contracts | Profit per payout |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $2,500 | $1,250 | 3 (30 micros) | $1,500 |
| $50K | $4,000 | $2,250 | 5 (50 micros) | $3,000 |
| $100K | $7,000 | $3,250 | 10 (100 micros) | $6,000 |
| $150K | $10,000 | $4,750 | 15 (150 micros) | $9,000 |
The evaluation needs at least 3 trading days and the 40% consistency rule. The funded account has the same drawdown, no daily loss limit, no activation fee, and a scaling plan that sets your contract limit by profit (from 1 mini on a $25K and 3 on a $50K at the start). Payouts are split 90/10.

Payouts
Between payouts you need the plan's profit requirement, at least 3 trading days, and your largest day at or under 40% of your profit since the last payout (largest day ÷ total profit). Funded Futures Family also lists "minimum of $200 profit per trading day" among the requirements. After an approved payout, both the profit requirement and the consistency count start again. With the Daily Payout add-on, there is no trading-day requirement and no consistency rule: you only need the profit requirement, and you can ask once a day.
| Account | Profit per payout | Payout at most | With Daily add-on |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25K | $1,500 | $750 | $600 |
| $50K | $3,000 | $1,250 | $1,000 |
| $100K | $6,000 | $2,250 | $1,500 |
| $150K | $9,000 | $3,250 | $2,500 |
Velocity payout check
The Standard path also needs 3 trading days. The payout-day check counts qualifying days.
Where the drawdown line sits
Velocity's drawdown is intraday: the line is your highest account value, open profit included, minus the drawdown. It moves up in real time as the account makes new highs and never moves back down. Two things catch people out. A winning trade that runs up and comes back still raises the line. And the line doesn't reset after a payout: the payout lowers your balance but not the line, so your room gets smaller. Funded Futures Family's Velocity drawdown article doesn't describe a level where the line stops trailing.
Intraday drawdown line
After a payout, enter your balance after the payout as "Account value now" and keep your old highest value: the line stays where it was.
What is the Funded Futures Family Velocity consistency rule?
40%, for the life of the account. When you ask for a payout, your largest single trading day can't be more than 40% of your total profit. Funded Futures Family's example: an $800 largest day on $2,500 of profit is 32%. After each approved payout, the count starts again. The Daily Payout add-on has no consistency rule. From the help center, read 3 Nov 2026.
Is the Velocity drawdown intraday or end of day?
Intraday. The line is your highest account value, including open profit, minus the drawdown ($1,250 on $25K, $2,250 on $50K). It moves up in real time and never comes back down. Falling below it breaches the account.
Does the Velocity drawdown reset after a payout?
No. The payout lowers your balance, but the line stays where it was, so you have less room after each payout. Example numbers: on a $50K with the line at $50,500 and a balance of $52,000, a $1,250 payout leaves $50,750, only $250 above the line.
How much profit do I need for a Velocity payout?
$1,500 on $25K, $3,000 on $50K, $6,000 on $100K and $9,000 on $150K, between each payout. With the 40% rule, it can be more: your profit must also be at least your largest day ÷ 0.40. The most you can take per request is $750 on $25K and $1,250 on $50K ($600 and $1,000 with the Daily Payout add-on).
Does Velocity have a daily loss limit?
No. The Velocity funded account lists no daily loss limit. The intraday trailing drawdown is the line that matters.
How many contracts can I trade on a Velocity $50K?
Up to 5 minis or 50 micros in the evaluation. In the funded account the scaling plan sets the limit by profit: on a $50K, 3 minis from $0, 4 from $1,500 and 5 from $2,000 of profit. On a $25K: 1 mini from $0, 2 from $1,000, 3 from $2,000. Limits update at the end of each session. The position size calculator shows the dollars at risk for any count.
Same math, any firm
The consistency rule calculator takes any cap, the prop firm rule decoder draws any trailing or static drawdown line, the payout-day check counts qualifying days, and the position size calculator shows the dollars at risk per trade. Other firms: Topstep rules, Tradeify rules.
